![]() ![]() I suggest you check whether the Bit locker is ON or OFF using the steps below.Ĭan you verify if BitLocker is enabled or disabled on your device? You can Enable/disable BitLocker by going to Desktop and follow these steps: If you do dl and find something terrible, let me know.BitLocker won't enable on Windows 10 after update on Aug 9īefore I assist you I would like to know the information below,ĭo you have a Windows 10 copy of the operating system? I know Neyo found a couple that I never got around to fixing. If I remember right, the default comes with the bubbly menus (not the right click ones though), but I made some subskins without the bubbly. Haven't updated it in a while since I switched to Mac back in April. ![]() It's not perfect by any means, but I made a WinXP-compatible Aqua skin from disciple and Dangeruss' original. and for me the result more look like a unergonomic-messy-kitchen than an ergonomic-clean-neat skin design.Īlthough, Dangeruss created a real-like Mac OSX WB skin but it doesn't support WinXP. It's not that WB skin's creators don't have good skinning abilities (non-MAC skins sometimes ROCKS) but maybe they can't resist to include all the WB features (winamp, clock. just the color and texture.Įven it's not perfect msstyles creators got the essence of this design, even it can be different is still Mac style. it's not like this ! it's a little bit rude to say but often WB skins have nothing with the mac style. They also skin the toolbar buttons (see your screenshot) with clear aqua buble. they put aqua bubble everywhere, even for selected items in a right-click menu. they saw, white, aqua bubles and depending of the tastes of the creator you can have a full-ugly-aqua-bubble 'MAC' theme. I mean they don't get the essence of this design. What I was saying, is that WB creators who make MAC styles (specially for Mac OSX) simply don't get it ! I would prefer WB instead of msstyles due to rollup ability I would prefer WB instead of msstyles due to left title bar buttons ![]() ![]() You got me wrong I would like to use an WB skin with a MAC OSX theme, but where is it? WB can do aqua much more accurately and there are aqua themes for WB as well as Mac classic. I'm at a bit of a loss on how someone could say that msstyle Mac themes are better than WindowBlinds ones. If you've used hyperpaint in WB3, you know what I mean (eliminates screen repaints on smaller windows when moving them by caching windows to video ram). As video cards get more and more video RAM, the performance gains you can get on the desktop (where that video RAM is barely used) by making use of that video ram become substantial. One of the things I think you're going to see is that in the next year or so skinning won't just be about making Windows XP look cooler but it'll make Windows FASTER (possibly faster than classic). But if you're opening and closing programs a lot then you may notice WB being slightly slower (we're talking milliseconds here but just as some people can tell the difference between 85hz refresh and 75hz refresh some people can tell the difference in load times).īut WindowBlinds 4 will bring in the shell menus (we could do it now if we used shellstyle.dll but that's technically illegal - shellstyle.dll is a copyrighted DLL) and on Windows XP it will have an even faster engine (Thanks to a helluva lot of help from the MS shell team and working with ATI and nVidia). So bottom line is if you tend to keep your programs open all the time (I keep my machine on 24/7) then WB's skinning performance advantages come in handy. The skin really has a lot of control over htat speed but we're working on eliminating issue that for 4.0. The initialization just takes slightly longer but it is something we're working on. WindowBlinds definitely is faster than msstyles on the same "skin" when it comes to repainting and drawing and resizing (when WindowBlinds 4 comes out it'll be particularly noticeable - especially if you have an nVidia card or ATI card).īut WindowBlinds is SLOWER at opening a new process. I think you two are actually discussing two different things. ![]()
